Shock, surprise & delight

Congratulations to our shocked, surprised and delighted Marketing Director, Clare Stirling, who has become a semi-finalist in 3 categories for this year’s Devon Venus Women’s Award.

Now in its fourth year in Devon, the Venus Awards have proved to be ever popular with the business women of the region, with over 1,612 nominations and 375 applications received in one or more of the 14 categories.

Dubbed the “Working Women’s Oscars”, the Awards celebrate the vital contribution that women in business make to the regional and national economy, and are unique in that anyone can nominate a friend, client or family member.

Clare has been shortlisted as a semi-finalist for New Business, Digital Media & Online Business (category sponsored by Plymouth Science Park) and Networker of the Year (sponsored by CityBus).

“I’m really chuffed to be a semi-finalist. The Venus Awards is a great way of recognising the vital role women play in business in Devon and across the UK. Becoming involved in the awards has enabled me to get to know some of the amazing women and their journeys in business. It’s also exciting that this year’s charity for the awards is Jeremiah’s Journey, who we have supported through our business networking group, the Cream Tea Club

Sponsors will now decide out of the 5 semi-finalists, who the 3 finalists will be in each category and announcements will be made on the 4th October. The Venus journey will culminate in a glamorous Ceremony and Gala Dinner at The Great Hall, University of Exeter on Friday 18th November 2016.

Good luck Clare and we look forward to hearing more!
