Have you ever thought about focussing your marketing through the use of a nifty campaign microsite? These simple yet engaging landing pages can incorporate clever animated content and specific call to actions to generate impact. They are a great way to bring your news piece to life, and easily target segments of your customer base using associated email and social media campaigns.

Our campaign microsite for Hope and Homes for Children

We recently worked on such a marketing campaign microsite for Hope and Homes for Children. We creatively brought a print campaign to digital life in under 10 days! This fantastic charity is working towards a day when every child can grow up in a loving family. To achieve this aim, they rely on generous donations from the public.

So, our role was to create a focused and tangible animated microsite. The aim of the microsite was to clearly communicate the work of the charity and to encourage dontations. Customers would be directed to the microsite via email marketing and social channels, enabling the effectiveness of the campaign to be tracked.

Time was of the essence with this microsite, so we got to work quickly, and here is the result: http://www.shimas-story.org.

What was nifty about the microsite?

The nifty aspect of this campaign microsite was that it worked in the opposite way to how a web page would normally work. It used a vertical timeline that starts from the bottom of the page. We formed a specialist team to translate the print design into a functional web design with web fonts and appropriate responsive dimensions. We created two identical sites with different call to action buttons so that the email marketing campaign could be directed towards specific audience segments. Analytics were placed inside the site to record how many people clicked on the donate buttons to measure the effectiveness of the campaign.

The ‘nightmare brief’ from Steve at Hope and Homes for Children…!

Steve Coffey, Senior Creative Manager for Hope and Hopes for children comments “I came to Made with Maturity with a nightmare brief – to deliver a fully functioning campaign microsite with a limited budget and very tight timescales. I’m pleased to say Made with Maturity didn’t disappoint. From the positive response I received to the brief and regular communication from Ben as the Project Director, to the excellent execution delivered on time and within budget, I was delighted with how hard and effectively the team worked to make this project happen. I would definitely recommend Ben and the team to anyone looking for an excellent and responsive digital partner.”
